Weekend Mini-Organizing Challenge: Plastic Food Containers

weekend_challenges

Need some organizing motivation and inspiration, or a gentle nudge?  Simply subscribe to my blog to receive mini-organizing challenges several weekends a month.  They will be automatically emailed to you so you won’t have to remember to visit the blog.

Mini-organizing challenges are doable and will focus on decluttering a tiny area of your home.   If the weekend challenge “speaks” to you, then set your timer for 30 minutes and start organizing/decluttering.  Stop when the timer goes off then enjoy the rest of your weekend knowing that you accomplished something!   Of course, you may continue organizing if you have gained the momentum you needed.

Mini-Challenge: Plastic Containers

We all save plastic food containers after eating the last spoonful of yogurt, cottage cheese, or an item from the deli. There’s nothing wrong with re-purposing these containers.  But we can get carried away and save more than we’ll ever need or more than we have space to store.  For the next 30 minutes, gather your containers, match up the lids and recycle the extras and the ones missing lids.  Nest the containers you’ve kept to save space.

Can’t see the video below?  Click here and watch it on YouTube.

Were you able to recycle some containers?
