[Day 5] Under the Sink: Kitchen Clutter Clear Out
It’s Day 5, what’s lurking under your sink? This area can be a very dirty and sometimes smelly place. It can also be an awkward spot if you have a garbage disposal in addition to all the curvy, large plumbing pipes.
Here are some tips to help you clear out clutter from under your sink.
- Fill the sink with warm, soapy water.
- Grab a couple of rags
- Pull out every item from the space.
- Wipe down the surface as well as the doors.
- Consider containing your cleaning products in a dishpan or other container.
- Group similar items together. I put all of my rags in an empty ice cream pail.
- Ask yourself if you really need all the cleaning products under there or could you simplify and use fewer products? Dispose of them safely.
My sister has a tiny and I mean TINY kitchen. She maximized her storage by using the cabinet door, added an extra shelf, and contained her cleaning products in a tub. I think she did a fine job!
