Simplify gift wrapping

I have always envied those who have the gift wrapping gene because I still haven’t mastered creasing corners neatly or curling ribbon.   Whether you are an amazing wrapper or are challenged like me, I have some suggestions to simplify gift wrapping that will also save you time.

Gift bags and tissue paper are a quick and simple alternative to wrapping paper.  They are also reusable.  Even the tissue paper is reusable because wrinkled tissue tucked into a bag looks intentional.  Keep an assortment of sizes on hand.

During the holidays, set up a wrapping station.  All you need is a  large table in your basement, spare room, or craft room.  Stock the station with your wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue, pens, gift tags, boxes, and also have a trash can available.

Organize your rolls of paper.  Special gift wrap organizing containers aren’t necessary.  A simple, inexpensive TALL trash can will neatly hold your rolls of paper.

Categorize the gift bags by holiday or occasion then fold and store each category inside large gift bags.  You will be able to find a bag in seconds!

Do you lack gift wrapping skills…..like me?  Stick with gift bags, delegate wrapping duties to another family member, shop at stores that provide free gift wrapping or hire a student or a friend to wrap for you.  You don’t have to do it all.
