One in, one out rule

Now that you have a donation station, it’s time to put it to good use.  When you purchase and item, find something to donate and put it in one of your  donation station container.  Better yet, if you seriously need to un-stuff your home, donate 2-3 items for every item you acquire.   It’s called the “one-in, one-out” rule clutter control.

This is an excellent rule to adopt and follow for the rest of your life.  Less stuff = less maintenance.

Simple!  If you continue to add things to your life without subtracting you will soon be overwhelmed by stuff and out grow your space.

I’m so good at donating things in our house that my husband says he is afraid I will get rid of him.  I tell him not to worry, he’s a keeper:)
