Do you own more than a couple of these?

You may have received bottles bottles as “gifts” for participating in fundraising walks/runs or other events.  Let’s take a look at the sports bottles you own and maybe do a little de-cluttering in the process.

Open the cabinet that contains your sports bottles.  Is it full and need a little clearing out? Remove all the bottles and their caps, wipe the shelf, and match the caps to their bottles.

Toss/recycle any broken bottles or bottles with missing parts.  Toss bottles that leak—I had several!

What about the bottles that are difficult to clean?  Donate those.

Decide to let some of the bottles go.  Which bottles are favorites?  Keep those and consider donating the bottles no one uses.

Place the bottles back on the shelf and congratulate yourself for staying focused and clearing out another area!

Maybe it’s time for a small reward?  Watch a movie, join a friend for coffee, take a walk, or my all time favorite reward……a nap:)

In the previous 8 posts of this series, I’ve provided steps for de-cluttering several small areas.  You may have noticed that the de-cluttering steps are basically the same 4 steps.

  1. Remove
  2. Sort
  3. Decide
  4. Replace

These are the steps you will continue to follow when clearing out clutter from any area of your home.  If you are participating in this 31 day series, I hope it will inspire you to create a life long habit of regular de-cluttering.

What step is the most difficult for you?

Simply,

Jill
